How long is the Tangier to Fes tour?
This private tour runs 3 days and 2 nights, starting in Tangier and ending in Fes, with a night in Chefchaouen and stops at Volubilis and Meknes along the way.
Why choose the fast crossing to Fes
Most of our Tangier departures continue all the way to Marrakech, which makes sense for travelers building a longer trip around the desert and the south. This version is for the opposite case: travelers whose plans center on Fes and the imperial cities, or who’ll continue their journey independently from Fes using one of our Fes-departure tours, and would rather not add the extra days a Marrakech or desert extension requires.
Route and stops
The route covers the same first two days as our longer Tangier tours — Tetouan, Chefchaouen, Volubilis and Meknes — but stops in Fes rather than continuing south. It’s the same scenic crossing through the Rif Mountains and past the Roman ruins at Volubilis, just without the additional days further south.
A practical first booking after the ferry
Because pick-up is available directly from the Tangier ferry port, this tour is often booked by travelers who’ve just crossed from Spain and want their first few days in Morocco organized as a single private trip, rather than arranging transport separately before deciding on their next move from Fes.
Who this itinerary suits
This is the tour for travelers who want an efficient, scenic route from the Tangier ferry crossing into Fes, without committing to the week or more a full desert-and-Marrakech itinerary requires. If you’d like the Sahara and Marrakech included in one continuous trip instead, our 6-day and 7-day Tangier to Marrakech tours cover that route.
