Casablanca itself has a shorter list of tourist sights than Marrakech or Fes, but its role as Morocco’s main international airport makes it a common starting point for a private tour regardless. Rather than requiring travelers to arrange their own transfer to Marrakech before a tour can begin, our Casablanca-based itinerary folds that leg into the trip.
The standard route from Casablanca combines a stop at the Hassan II Mosque with the journey to Marrakech, then continues on the same road used by Marrakech-departure desert tours — the Tizi n’Tichka pass, Ait Ben Haddou, the Dades Valley and Merzouga — before returning to Marrakech for departure.
Travelers heading north instead can use Casablanca as a base for a short trip to Rabat, about an hour away by high-speed train, without continuing south into the desert regions.
