The Ourika Valley is one of the closest green escapes from Marrakech, following the Ourika River up into the High Atlas foothills through Berber villages and terraced fields. This private day trip takes you to Setti Fatma, the starting point for a walk to a series of waterfalls set into the rock above the village.
The route noticeably cools as it climbs, a welcome change from the heat of Marrakech’s Medina for much of the year. Because the trip is relatively short — about an hour each way to reach the valley — it works well as either a half-day or full-day excursion, and pairs easily with a relaxed lunch in the valley before heading back.
